someone said oh a quarter that means three quarters white seems to me that's white thinking in itself especially when there's alot of saying each should be called by their nation not some conglomerate called indian or native american well what if that three quarters most likely is a mix of let's say welsh and hungarian and italian and the other quarter a good solid cherokee not the oh my great great great grandmaMORE RAMBLINGS... was a princess kind but the really that is what they are kind so which of the quarters are they suppose to be the most of and which identity do they select cuz the last time i checked italian and hungarian and welsh didn't really all have that much in common except that they are all across the atlantic
who is to speak of the ceremony what is and what should be but the one that is responsible whose life they have given am i to question the old one in his or her wisdom of who they share with of whom they choose to teach the ways of their grandfathers and grandmothers it is not my nose that is to their grindstone but for every one that comes asking will they cut and carry wood will they haul the water will they be there with food and help to cook ever noticed who is doing all the cooking while everyone is off participating do the cookfires just go out nah and who is it that's there ahead of the time when everyone comes, you know when there is brush to be cleared and all the tending that goes on and who remembers to bring colored cloth and extra food and even more food and some coffee too it's those things that make a difference too and being there not just for the fancy stuff but the all the time when there is illness or need or sorrow all the everyday realities of having coffee and sharing a pot of soup that probably doesn't have enough meat in it to whet the whistle of a fly but its the best dam soup in the world because it's shared with family there's more to ceremony and being a part of then driving up once or twice a year and bringing a few groceries and some tobacco and sage there's commitment and that's what a big part of all of life is and life is the biggest ceremony of all
