KOYANISKATSI

Story by

It is too much this world
that rips assunder life
the spirit dead who only hear
egos' heart apounding
and with careless disregard
pollute the blood
and teach the heart to hate
bones arranged in dusty bins
where those of science tossed them
 Elders mourn in woeful silence
while children walk in blindness
silenced stories fade beneath the page
of education's rantings
ancient mountains
shorn for greed
bones stripped
their guts
on wheeled assemblies
while deep within
her skin
they hide
the evidence of
their infamy.
