Khwe,

A couple of years ago, 4'11 slightly built Elder , 60 plus years, hands on her hips went nose to belt buckle with  law enforcement officials in a little publicized confrontation about 60 miles north of Wendake in an area called *the bush* - traditional hunting grounds of the Huron.

The case has finally come to court with Quebec demanding proof that the Huron hunted in the time of the signing of the Murray Treaty..these out rageous demands and concurrent court expenses have left the traditional people who also lost all their hunting equipment in dire straits...

I have received the following request for help from the traditional people of the Wendake Longhouse .  Any help you may be able to send would be greatly appreciated..for the future generations..that they may be able to enjoy the land of their grandfathers and grandmothers.  Let us stop Quebec from eliminating Native rights..

Fight with us!!!

Please send contributions to:

Annette Vincent, ( faithkeeper of the longhouse) Wendat Hunting rights 30 Sassenio Wendake, Quebec, Canada GOA 4VO

May you walk into the future.....with honour of the past...

Ishgooda Tewehshon'on
