Wybonics

A THOUGHT FOR THE TIMES:

Voter forms in San Francisco were in English, Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Spanish, Creole & Russian. The KIDS were complaing that they weren't getting an education.

I think they'd probably start w/ Mohabonics, Senebonics, Ononbonics...

At 08:11 AM 12/28/96 -0800, you wrote: Wybonics is a new language classification that will be sweeping the nation. All Wyandot children will have their language of Wybonics included in school books, assignments and teaachers must learn how to speak the language of their Wyandot students. For example

In the morning a student may say

Kwe Kwe Skennon, Oppressor and purveyor of Eurocentrism!

Translated this means "Good morning teacher".

Voter registration and polling information must be printed in Wyandot, as well as all public information, Internal Revenue Service forms, state and county tax info etc. etc. etc.

I was glad that Jesse Jackson and Maya Angelou both spoke against Ebonics. One shouldn't be too impressed w/ Oakland, they're just trying to get more federal money by classifying their students as bilingual.

Anyhow, if you really want to send this out in the newsletter ok, but it was just something that came up in a conversation with a friend yesterday. Just me in a goofy mood.
