Elizabeth (Betty) Pamp, Turtle clan, February 2, 1922 - September 16, 2001
Elizabeth (Betty) Pamp, Turtle clan, February 2, 1922 - September 16, 2001 Elizabeth Pamp, 79 passed away on Sep-tember 16, 2001 in Diamondale. Funeral services took place on the Saginaw Chippewa Tribal Campgrounds with Nelson Shognosh officiating. Inter-ment took place at Riverside Cemetery in Mount Pleasant. Elizabeth, the daughter of Judd and Susan Francis Fisher, was born in Mt. Pleasant on Feb.2, 1922. She was a mem-ber of the Saginaw Chippewa Indian Tribe, the Three Fires Mide Lodge and the Toronto Anishnabe Health Center. Eliza-beth traveled throughout the United States and Canada counseling American Indian prisoners. She was an Elder and Grandmother to many and a spiritual healer and counselor. Elizabeth is survived by her daughter, Joan Webkamigad of Lansing; her seven grandchildren, Morgan (Melissa) Pope, Bedahbin (Tony Bardy) Webkamigad, Mang Webkamigad, Anung Webkami-gad, Shiloh (Chris) Alvis, Miengun Pamp and Che Pamp; seven great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Elizabeth was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Charles Pamptopee; her brother, Judson and two children, Judith (Judy Bear) Pamp and Charles Mouz Pamp. Memorial contributions may be made to the Charles Mouz Pamp Scholarship Fund.
