Yesterday after many calls I managed to get through to the Deputy Warden's office and she referred me to the Aministrative assistant's office (who of course is out on vacation this week) I left a message and am documenting when I talked with these people. All should be back next week...if I keep getting the run-around even with the higher ups then it is time to call these others outside the system, as well as send registered mail.

The scary part?? A woman whom I know, separated from her husband was missing for a few days. Her almost ex went to her apartment and found her phnebook and began calling around to see if anyone knew her whereabouts. Turns out the man she was seeing, of whom she said he worked constuction and was on a job until Feb. is actually in jail (prison?). she went to see him and where they talked in the yard an empty beer bottle was found. He has had his release changed pending investigation, she was arrested for contraband and had been unable to make bail and was sitting in jail. I get real concerned when my son is accused of heroin use the day we visit, I get molested (rather than pattted down WHEN WE CAME IN!) they found nothing ocf course ....but, what if suddenly "evidence" turns up and I get charged with attempt/delivery of something??? God this whole thing makes me paranoid..I don't trust any of them.

It is like they encourage this kind of situation for the family in order to sever family ties. They have forgotten these are human beings, not just numbered warehoused items.

Maybe I am*just* paranoid...they monitor all phone calls. When David called my mother last she told him how much money she had put into his account. He had had a TV set at the other facility which was sent for repairs two months after he had sent it for repairs..he still does not have it. She had put sufficient funds into his account to cover this cigarettes and clothes, etc. He said good, he'll be able to pay the peopple back he owes for stamps, too. They cut and clipped this phone recording to include only the amount of the money and the fact he owes people...and have frozen his account for seventeen days pending a hearing.

I am so PISSED......
